America's Drunkest Cities
Men's Health published an interesting article ranking America's Drunkest Cities. The magazine use very interesting criteria to establish its rankings. These are (1) Deaths from liver disease; (2) Deaths in DUI (DWI in Texas) Crashes; (3) Binge Drinking; (4) DUI Arrests; and (5) Harsh DUI Laws.
Interestingly, Fresno, California was considered America's Drunkest City. It was second in deaths from liver disease and fourth in DUI arrests. Fresno was followed by Reno, NV; Billings, Montana; Riverside, California; and Texas' very own Austin, Texas. Austin was second in binge drinking, and eighth in DWI arrest. Also, San Antonio, Texas was ranked in the top 10.
Interestingly, Fort Worth and Dallas are little bit more civilized than our Central and South Texas counterparts. One thing for sure is that all of these cities are encompassed by a strict DWI. Being arrested for an intoxicated related offense could have severe consequences on your record and life.
