Former San Antonio Officer Charged With DWI

Winder Morales, a former San Antonio police officer, accidentally killed a civilian in 2006. A Bexar County grand jury did not indict him in that accident because he was on-duty at the time. However, in November 2009, he was driving in an unmarked police car and was off duty when he crashed into a traffic barrier. Morales rolled the car.

Police indicated that he had the classic signs of intoxication-alcohol on his breath and blood shot eyes. Of course, as always, the police officer refused to take the field sobriety testHe was arrested for DWI.

It is important that you know your rights, as this officer obviously does.
