Another Man Arrested For DWI Twice in One Day
One DWI arrest in a lifetime is more than enough. One DWI in one night is too much. Imagine a situation where that night of partying involves two separate DWI arrests in a 10 hour time span.
John Simister, 51, of Connecticut was stopped by troopers for doing 80 mph on the highway. It turned out at the time of the arrest that he had a blood-alcohol content of 0.19. Apparently in Connecticut, DWI is subject to only a ticket. After he was ticketed, he was released to a sober third party, troopers said.
Shortly after, an off-duty trooper saw a man drinking alcohol in his car. The driver then attempted to flee when the police tried to pull him over. Simister was arrested again and he had a BAC level of 0.17.
