A Woman Charged With DWI After Running Over Husband
A woman was arrested and charged with DWI after she accidentally ran over her husband. The woman was driving with her husband in the passenger seat. She stopped at a red light and then passed out behind the wheel.
The man then got out of the car and went over to the driver side of the car. When he opened the door, she regained consciousness and pressed on the accelerator. The husband hung on to the driver's door, but was dragged before he fell onto the road. As further proof that no good deed goes unpunished: the woman did not stop to assist her husband. The man suffered two broken legs and a head injury.
Originally, she was charged with
intoxication assault. Dallas police, however downgraded the charges to DWI.
