Man Facing DWI Charge Elected Mayor Of Argyle, Texas
Matt Smith was recently elected mayor of the small town of Argyle, Texas, a town of 3,000 located approximately 40 miles northwest of Dallas, Texas. Out of the 493 votes cast, Smith received 253 of them. Smith upset incumbent Argyle Mayor Greg Landrum.
These 253 citizens, however, did not seem to mind that Smith was charged with
DWI in Denton, County Texas. Smith's DWI charges are still pending and Smith is planning on contesting the DWI charges.
