Prosecutor Boasts About Previous DWI Removal From Criminal History
A few weeks ago we posted a blog entry about a Bronx prosecutor who was arrested for
DWI. There was some indication that she had been previously arrested for DWI, but that it had been taken care of and she was not convicted. Also, the charges were not apart of her records, anywhere.
Apparently, the reason why no one knows of the arrest is that it was "taken care of" by another prosecutor. During her second DWI arrest, she told the police to "Call Nestor; he'll take care of this. He took care of it last time." She was referring to Nestor Ferreiro Jr., who is the chief of the narcotics in the Bronx DA's Office.
During the 2009 arrest, she had attended a party put on by Ferreiro and was arrested for DWI on her way home. She refused a breath test (imagine that) and was arrested. When she arrived at the jail, word spread that she was a prosecutor. "Somebody was called, and the charges went away."
After this arrest, she called Ferreiro again, but this time he was not willing to help.
