San Antonio Firefighter Arrests For DWI On Rise
Since 2009, nineteen San Antonio firefighters have been arrested for DWI. Over the last five weeks, eight San Antonio firefighters have been arrested. Just two weekends ago, three firefighters were arrested in one weekend. The most notorious incident occurred when a San Antonio firefighter slammed his car into two police cars.
The San Antonio Fire Department will be instituting an internal education program about driving under the influence. This will be mandatory for all firefighters. Also, when a San Antonio firefighter is arrested for DWI, that firefighter will be placed on administrative leave for an amount of time to be determined at the time.
