What Is An SR-22?
Yesterday, we discussed the Safety Responsibility or Evidence of Financial Responsibility law that requires person to maintain insurance. If a person's license has been suspended or revoked because of
DWI, you might be eligible for a
occupational drivers license (ODL). The Plano DWI Attorneys are well-versed in the laws surrounding occupational licenses and have helped numerous clients obtain an occupational license.
However, in order to obtain an occupational license a person must present evidence of financial responsibility (that is, proof of insurance). In Texas, when a person's license has been suspended due to either a breath test refusal or because of a final conviciton of a DWI, a person will have to obtain an SR-22 from an insurance company.
Stay tuned as we address the SR-22 tomorrow. If you or a loved one have been charged with DWI, contact a
