Think that police officers never get in trouble? Think again. An officer in Texas was arrested last week for DWI and other charges.
According to the official report, the Fort Worth officer was driving around town at approximately 4:30 a.m. when police noticed that something was seriously wrong. He and his passenger were shooting a weapon out of the vehicle's windows. They were not shooting at people, but rather at objects like street lamps and signs.
When officers finally caught up with the two, they were surprised to learn that the driver was a cop and the passenger an ex-felon. The two were old buddies that had gotten intoxicated together and decided to get into some mischief. The officer was arrested for driving under the influence as well as providing a felon with a firearm. His passenger was also charged with discharging a firearm within city limit and possession of a firearm by a felon.
