Upon searching, the officers found a weapon and charged the client with Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon (UCW) along with DWI. The firm got both charges dismissed.

Officer testified that R.G. failed to stop at an intersection and that her car "lurched" forward several times blocking two oncoming lanes, that she drove very slowly, weaved out of her lane almost hitting a curb, crossed lane markers, and failed field sobriety tests. The officer stated R.G. failed field sobriety tests, was acting very unusual and erratic, and that she must be under the influence of something. State v. W.H.
Officer testified that W.H. lost control of his SUV causing a collision on the North Dallas Tollway. Officer stated that W.H. and his passenger fled the scene and W.H. flagged down a bystander asking "Please give me a ride, I can't afford to get a DWI." W.H. and his passenger were transported by ambulance to the hospital for medical treatment. The officer stated W.H. admitted to drinking alcohol, he had been coming from a bar, and was intoxicated.
